Grace Chapel's programs and events are an expression of our desire to spend time relating as members of the Heavenly Father's family.

Overview of Our Programs and Events

Grace Chapel of Washington, D.C. provides members and guests with a variety of opportunities to fellowship and to participate in group activities.

Children’s Church

Children in our Joshua Generation group (ages 4-9) and young people (ages 10-16) meet during the Sunday morning service for Bible study, play, and worship.

Young Adults Program

Our older children (ages 10-16) and young adults (ages 17 to mid-twenties) meet Wednesday evenings for Bible study and at other times for fun and fellowship. The Young Adults program focuses on maturing young members in the Lord and provides great opportunities for them to have fun together and get to know other young people of faith.

Once a year, our teens participate in the annual Young Adult School of Prophets and summer conference at Shiloh, in Kalona, Iowa.

Bible Study

Every Wednesday, we have a 7:30 P.M. Bible study. While primarily directed toward young adults, it is open to all ages and focuses on learning the Scriptures and seeing how they apply in our daily lives.

Friday Dinner

On Friday evenings small groups meet together for refreshments at designated homes or dine at local restaurants. Occasionally the whole congregation is invited to the church for dinner. We celebrate the end of the work week, thank God for his provision, and enjoy one another’s company in a family atmosphere.

Saturdays begin with an informal meeting where members share insights and personal experiences relating to the Scriptures and recent sermons. We frequently have lunch together, and many folks participate in the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of Grace Chapel’s buildings and grounds. Other volunteers help with planning, office work, and other administrative tasks.

Outdoor Activities

Grace Chapel’s park-like setting makes it a great place for outdoor activities during the summer months. We host birthday and graduation celebrations, weddings, and special events. On a few best-weather Sundays in the late spring and early summer, we hold service in our outdoor pavilion.

Biblical Celebrations

Each year we celebrate the spiritual aspects of the biblical feasts of Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. We have discovered that many deep truths symbolized by these feasts have a direct application to our Christian walk with God.

Tabernacles Camp-Out

Our Tabernacles camp-out weekend is an annual highlight for young and old alike. During this fall festival we pitch tents on the church property, enjoy meals, music, fun, and fellowship as we commemorate God’s faithfulness. Activities include evening campfires, s’mores, flashlight tag, Moon Bounce, pumpkin carving, and three-legged races.

New Year’s Eve

Members of New Song Fellowship in London, Ontario, often join us to celebrate the New Year holiday. We ring in the new calendar year with entertainment, dancing, games, and a smorgasbord of delectable food.
